Learning the guitar (should be an adventure)

No matter what you choose to do in life, you must be committed and determined to succeed. Talent and natural ability are a plus, but without discipline, talent can be wasted. To reach your goals, natural ability must be cultivated through practice. As with any other ambition, you must be willing to work hard to become a good guitarist. If you continue to work on your technique, you will develop a great deal of skill. To do this, you have to take the same road that the greatest guitarists in the world have taken: make your guitar practice a priority; establish a schedule; commit to that schedule; set goals for yourself; persevere through difficult times; be determined to succeed.

The final thing to remember is that learning to play the guitar should be fun. If you do not enjoy yourself, it is not worth doing. Learning the guitar should be an adventure, and there are always new styles and techniques to discover.
